How are you engaging your members?
You might have a community platform. Maybe you do an annual member satisfaction survey or perhaps it's every two years.
Based on the conversations I've been having with Marketing and Membership staff at associations, both large and small, it sounds like you're sending content. Lots and lots of content. Stuff. And offers. And promotions. And more content marketing.
The best associations are segmenting their lists and sending tailored content... but you're still just sending stuff out.
"Stuff" is available on the internet without being a member of your association. In fact, qualified stuff is available. And most of it is free.
What is going to really engage your members is a relationship. It's dialog. It's a conversation. And it starts with you... Asking them a question.
