This week I was brought back to one of my favorite videos on the internet, "Where Good Ideas Come From" by Steven Johnson.
In the 4 minute video, he states that good ideas almost never come in a moment of great insight. They take a long time to brew. They take a long time to evolve and often times they come from the collision of small hunches. The World Wide Web was an idea that Tim Berners-Lee started by figuring out a way to manage his own files. After a few years, he ditched that idea and tried another version of it... eventually after 10 years, those early attempts evolved into the WWW.Something that's really important is that these initial ideas are given the opportunity to "collide" with other ideas. Hence the origins of the Coffee Shop.We created PropFuel with this concept in mind. We've created this Feedback Automation Platform as a way to pull ideas and hunches out of your team and your customers. We've given you and them a platform on which to spread ideas and a place to let them collide. Some people won't play the reindeer games we put out there and some of the feedback will dissipate. Some will make people laugh and some might get an eye roll. But, some... just maybe, some will be a hunch that collides with another hunch and turns into the good idea that changes everything.Try PropFuel for just a few months and you'll be hooked. It takes 5 minutes to set up and you can quit any time... but you wont.Set up a time to see a demo with me.
